With my license/permit thingy! They were quick enough to take my money mind you. Maybe I should have said send out the papers first, then I will pay?Two weeks they tell me, its been two and a half weeks now come on goverment offical type people, its just an itty bitty peice of paper, just stamp it and send it back.
Australian eckie owners how long did you have to wait until you got your permit back? Who did you ring to hurry them along (if you had to)? There is no way I am bringing her home without one, don't they confiscate them if you don't have a permit and reccord book and they turn up to do an inspection?

When I get my permit I can keep controlled birds (assorted rosella,Port Lincoin ringneck which I am really interested in, scaly breasted lorikeets) commercial birds (Cloncurry parrot, blue winged parrot, golden shouldered parrot, northern rosella which are so pretty), and international birds (red sided electus come under this bit) I also can have birds on the restricted list (magpie, australian species of electus, gang gangs, glossy black cockatoo, green rosella, long billed black cockatoo, Major Mitchells, malle ringneck, red tailed black cockatoo, white tailed black cockatoos, yellow tailed black cockatoos. It cost me extra ( I have the recipt here somewhere) but I figured it was worth it if I ever want to go to a bird fair and bring one of those guys home (If I win lotto or Sam isn't with me which ever happens first :angeldevil: )
Sam got very worried when he saw what I was applying for. "Your only getting one more!" was his warning. This made the ladies in the office laugh.

They tell me it should be here Monday. It would have been here sooner but they rang me last week to query something and I didn't get the message until I rang them to find out what was going on. So I will be standing out by my letter box on Monday lol.

She's beautiful! I really would have said so sooner - but somehow missed this thread when it first began. I was sick last week though - so just kind of skimmed everything. So if the permit comes on Monday - will Lilly (love the name by the way) get to come home Monday?
