Default First flight outside...

Yesterday was an adventure! Cisco, the 20 year old M2, went for his first flight outside today and it was a blast! Don't fret.. it was controlled and safe with his new aviator harness! He has been limited to his flights in the house as he is a big boy and navigating the small space has been tough. But the joy in his eyes was clear when he went for a long flight across and around the yard. He was one pooped boy last night. Those muscles haven't been used in a very long time. Hopefully today he will accept the harness more readily.

More to come and hopefully photos too.... I was too worried to care about photos yesterday. It was a big adventure for everyone involved.

Aww, I bet Cisco had a wonderful time. I'm curious, how do the aviator harnesses work as far as the lead goes - is the lead really long in that you can hold onto it and the bird can fly a long distance despite the lead, or is it kind of like those retractable dog leads? I've never seen one in use and in person, just curious.

He's so beautiful! It must have been so exciting for him and emotional for you to watch him fly like that.
