Default Let's laugh anyways...

I'm not the only one that laughs when my birds do something they shouldn't do....am I?

Kita has been sitting on an egg that she's being very protective about. She's just now letting me get her away from the cage for short periods of time. I had her 2 rooms away from her cage and we were playing. She was showing signs that she wanted to get back to her cage. So I told my husband that I was going to put her on the floor and let her walk back to her cage for some exercise.

I put her down and she started hurrying back to her cage. I was already giggling, cause you just have to love her little pigeon toed walk. Anyway, my husband was standing in front of the sink...minding his own business, when all of a sudden my sweet little macaw turned into the roadrunner!! She turned toward my husband and started running toward him, he threw himself up and onto the kitchen counter!

Envision a full grown man, ON the kitchen counter on his hands and knees, staring down at the 3lb. bird....Please tell me that as I was standing there laughing so hard I was crying that I'm not the only one....

What's your story?

I amost wet my pants laughing so hard!!! LOL

That is hilarious Karen!!

I find myself laughing at Ollie several times a day when I know I shouldn't. Heck, I even laugh when she falls to the cage bottom when attacking a toy (after I make sure she's okay!).

A few weeks ago I left my bedroom for a second to go talk to my roommate in the living room. Ollie was out of her cage, and I left my bedroom door open about a foot. My roommate's bf was there, along with a friend of his who didn't know there was a bird in the house. Well, Ollie comes tearing out of my bedroom, shoots around the hallway corner into the living room, and this friend immediately hits the floor and covers his head with his arms! We all about died laughing! He was so embarrassed when he realized it was just a bird!

I try not laugh in front of the birds as this immediatly causes an encore performance, sometimes it is very difficult to hold in laughter till I get round a corner.

Another "broody" story, my husband would not be so happy I posted this.... I walked into a room one day and Tiki was "displaying" while on my husband's shoulder.... on his ear. He couldn't stop her because she was bound and determined .... I couldn't stop laughing. He was so bright red embarassed!

at least she likes him!

Oh I love these stories!! So funny!

I constantly laugh at the birds when I know I shouldn't. Usually it's when Tully blurts out a curse word, or five. In my defense, we are the second owners and he didn't get it from here...hopefully...but yesterday my five year old son was watching TV with Tully (while he was on his perch) and I don't know what came on, I was just passing through and I heard Tully say, "HOLY S**T!" and then I hear Griffin say, "Yeah, holy s**t is right." I just froze. Then chuckled to myself. I know, BAD MOM! Then I went over to them and said, "Um...that's not a good thing to say." They both just looked up at me and Tully said, "What?" Griffin blurts out, "Well Tully said it first!!" I just cracked up! Like I should just respond, "Oh. Well, carry on then." Crazy kids!

Wow these are GREAT! I busted out laaughing last week when Jasmine charged Joe and bite him on the cheek...I couldn't help it. We were just all laying there then all the sudden she runs at him, up his arm, and bites his cheek. I think it was more of an awkward "I can't believe the just happened" laugh, though...

Noah decided he had had enough of Prinny...She was up on the back of the chair sloooowly coming closer and closer to Noah so she could grab his feathers and tug.

He just kept shoving her away...til one time he decided enough was enough and shoved her right off the back of the chair!
