Default Jerry's band got removed today!

I'm so excited, Jerry went in to the vet today to have his band removed. It was a metal band that looked pretty loose and we've wanted it off for some time now. I was worried he would get it caught in a toy or something. The removal went really well, no problems, only took a minute. Afterwards I told the vet that I held my breath for a minute while she was cutting with a big metal cutter, and she said she was holding her breath too - those budgie legs are just so tiny and fragile!

But Jerry seems happy and so are we!!

You mean they're not fashion jewelry?

Yeah, I never thought of that. Good thing they have one then! Lulu nor Winston came with a band.

Luckily, none of my birds have a band. Jerry probably feels much better now with his naked legs.

Skittles is the only one of mine with a band, so far she hasn't had any problems with it. I keep a close eye on it though, any sign of irritation and it's coming off.
