Default Poisonous Plant Symptoms

Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majali)
Symptoms of illness: weakness, listless, diarrhea, vomiting.
Poisonous part of the plant: red leaves
Remark: only poisonous when it is eaten in large quantities.

Euphorbia or nightshade (Euphorbia pulcherrima)
Symptoms of illness: sometimes some diarrhea, sometimes red colored feces.
Poisonous part of the plant: red leaves
Remark: only poisonous when eaten in large quantities.

Oleander (Nerium Oleander)
Symptoms of illness: slowness, diarrhea, weakness, cramp, spitting, vomiting, sometimes mortality
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves
Remark: oleander is poisonous in spring, but only when eaten in large quantities

Philodendron (Philodendron scandeus)
Symptoms of illness: retching, vomiting, diarrhea, very sporadic mortality, (animals that eat many parts of the plant)
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves, but only when eaten in large quantities

Rhododendron (Rhododendron simsli/indicum)
Symptoms of illness: weakness, slowness, retching, vomiting, pastey feces, very sporadic mortality
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves, but only when eaten in large quantities

Avocado (Persea sp.)
Symptoms of illness: cannot sit on the perch anymore, come to an end with eating, sitting spherically, picking and pulling on the feathers, tight in the chest, swelling of the muscles of the breast through edema and bleach striping of the muscles, mortality
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves, fruit
Remark: The symptoms can strongly change and sometimes just appear 24 hours after consumption

Some sorts of wild pea plants (Vicia sp.)
Symptoms of illness: cramps, paroxysms, epileptic attacks, mortality
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves

Taxus (Taxus media)
Symptoms of illness: snap at air, vomiting, difficulties on sitting on the perch, tight in the chest, motion disturbance, few die
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves, fruit
Remark: Taxus is more poisonous in autumn

Virginia creeper (Parthenocissu quinquefolio)
Symptoms of illness: slowness, vomiting
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves
Remark: in spring Virginia creeper is less poisonous

Robinia (Robinia pseudoacacia)
Symptoms of illness: false chewing movement, tight in the chest, sneezing, Coughing, vomiting
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves
Remark: Acacia is less poisonous in spring

Clematis (Clematis sp.)
Symptoms of illness: vomiting
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves
Remark: Clematis is less poisonous in autumn

Dieffenbachia (dieffenbachia seguine)
Symptoms of illness: irritation if the mucous membranes of the bill
Poisonous part of the plant: leaves

Leaves of the lupine (Lupine sp.), privet (Liguster sp.), foxglove (Digitalis sp.), eonymus (Eonymus alatus compacta), firethorn (Pyracantha coccinea), dicentra (Dicentra spectabilis), clematis (Linicera sp.), buxus (Buxus sp.), blue elder berry (Sambucus sp.) did not cause any poisonous symptoms.

Christmas plants
The Star of Bethlehem (Euphorbia pulcherrima), sometimes unjustly called Christmas Rose, the “real” Christmas Rose (Helleborus niger), the big brother stinking Hellebore (Helleborus foeditus) and Holly (Ilex aquifollium) are poisonous plants.
Symptoms of illness: sickness, spitting, inflammation of the mucous membranes of the bill, vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), excitement, twitching, tight in the chest and cardiac arrhythmia. The sap of the Star of Bethlehem may have blisters on the skin as a result. The poison of stinking Hellebore is in all parts of the plant and give as symptoms: cramps, delirium and death through lack of breath.
