BrokenWing Chronicles
Feel the power, save a little ones life today.
Over the years I have saved many a little one, mainly song birds, but others have found there way to me such as baby squirrels, ground squirrels, baby rabbits etc.
Sadly many a little one have fallen silent, the main cause of death cat Saliva and or cat related injuries.
I was reading a story one day that I would like to share with you.
Mrs. Johnson was very upset, her pet cat Sylvester was always such a nice cat, he would lie in the bushes and all the school children on there way home from school would stop and pet him.
Then one day a stray pit bull dog attacked her cat and killed him, the authorities tracked the stray dog down and found the owner and this person suffered a fine for allowing his dog to be at large.
I found this story very disturbing, I am very sorry your pet cat is now gone, maybe if Mrs. Johnson would have kept her pet cat in the house safe and sound her pet would still be with her today.
The domesticated cat we see today was imported into the USA to help control the rodent population, this has taught the general public that’s its okay to allow there pet cat to roam freely killing small animals, after all, this is what they do by nature.
Rodents are not the only item on the felines list, the fact is the Song Bird is the number one animal to fall to the feline.
Thousands of stray cats are destroyed each day here in the USA at animal shelters.
The Feral population has become so bad in some states that our natural predators such as Falcons, Hawks, Raccoons and many more are starving.
Almost every city has a pet cat & dog at large law, otherwise there are laws that state (keep your pet contained) they are not allowed to roam the streets freely.
You can put up a fence to contain a dog, you can’t do this with a cat, unless you enclose the entire yard including the top.
Fact, in Australia owning a cat has become very hard; the laws that govern some cities make it impossible to keep the feline as a pet.
Our wildlife here in the USA is suffering a great deal, sadly most people simply don’t care, and the feline is directly responsible for many species of birds to become extinct.
Sadly those that don’t care and are ruining it for those that do care as new laws are inflicted onto pet owners.
You can stop this, you can save a life today, do you know someone that allows there pet cat to roam freely, stand up and be heard, speak with that person, if this fails, report that person to your local authorities, Cats can be live trapped, if possible contain any cat you see at large and call your local authorities to come and pick the animal up, if you have to drive that animal to your local shelter, please do so, you will save many lives.
I hear many animal lovers say “I see stray cats all the time but if I catch them and take them to the shelter they might be put down”.
I understand your concern but just how many little ones will be “Put Down” by the feline at large.
In all the politics concerning this issue, Wildlife continues to pay for your unwillingness to help them, they pay the ultimate price, they pay with there lives.
Here’s the bottom line, I don’t allow my pets (my cats) to roam freely onto your property, I expect that same courtesy from you, I don’t want your pet cat on my property stalking wildlife that come here to eat and drink.
Please help me and them by going to this site and reading what you can do to help, you can save a life today, you can feel the GREATNESS the POWER one feels when saving a life.
http://www.abcbirds.org/cats/ If not you, Then who? Will help those that can’t help themselves when it comes to this issue, STAND UP, BE HEARD.
I love and care for all of you, I am begging for your help, Please, Please help them.
Sincerely
