Default Humphrey sneezed at least 4 times today

I am a worried bird mom. She has sneezed at least 4 times today.

However: 1.) She is molting a bit and growing lots of new feathers, so there is quite a lot of dander around. 2.) We moved some sofas and vacuumed some really dust neglected places yesterday, so there was a bit of dust around.

I know I am neurotic - a week ago I was worried about her watery droppings (her droppings went back to normal later that day). Should I call the vet?

Thank you for any thoughts.

have they been wet sneezes? does she have a wet cere? if so, that would be more a cause for concern.

Hmm, I would think all the cleaning would have caused it. Wait a day or two and see if it calms down, if not I would go to the vet just to be safe.

Thanks for writing back. As for 'wet sneezes' -today she was snuggling with my husband and she sneezed on his face. He did get a bit of wetness. However, her cere is dry. I'll see how she is tomorrow.

i just came back from the vet with valo, and i was told that the moist sneezing could be due to "fishing" in the water bowl, while dry sneezing (if not excessive) is normal...
you should be concerned when the nostrils appear to be wet or clogged, and the discharge is colored instead of clear...

i'd give it a day and make sure to check on her... good luck!

Neurotic mommies unite! I'm VERY paranoid. One night Jasmine sneezed like 5 times in the middle of the night so I got her out to check and make sure her nares were dry. She often sneezes after she drinks, as well!

Ain't that the truth! I'm paranoid about everything too! Jerry sneezes every so often (dry), but occasionally he'll have a wet sneeze after a drink (clear, and I always check nares to see if there's a clog or anything dried up). But he just had a well check last week and he was the picture of perfect health.

Lulu sometimes sneezes multiple times in a row after preening (dry sneezes), but she tends to get tiny down feathers in her nares. Sometimes I thought she had a clogged nare hole only to find that she had a bit of fuzz it in.
