Here's a poem I wrote and entered into the BirdChannel.com poetry contest. I think there must be cheating going on though

, because two poems have over half the number of total votes cast and they each get something like 70+ votes a day, so I know I am not going to win.

Oh well, at least I tried! Here' my poem:
I love birds, I love them so,
Life without them I'll never know.
Each day starts with a meeting,
Chirps and whistles, it's their own special greeting.
Fresh fruits and veggies to wash and chop,
Served with warm birdie bread to fill each crop.
Toys of wood, leather and bells,
Makes for fun with loud squawking yells.
Feathers and pellets all over my floor,
Does not deter me from loving them more.
As the sun fades we share scritches and kisses,
Then it's off to each cage with sweet dream wishes.
