HELP!!!! Hi Everyone.

I'm kinda having second thoughts about a senegal and I don't want to have second thoughts. I have read all sorts of terrible things. Some refer them as a pitbull with feathers, some say they would rather be bitten by a macaw than a senegal. I've done research and I think any bird can be aggressive if it has been brought up in a harsh environment. But what if it is brought up in a loving, gentle environment? If not a senegal what other parrot can you recommend. I guess the big reason for the senegal is they are supposed to be on the quieter side. I've gotten mixed reviews on this also. I just don't know who or what to believe

WordyBirdy- I have only handled one before, in a pet shop. She was maybe a year old. Very quiet and sweet. A little timid at first but she was very interested. After a few minutes she stepped up for me and just happily sat on my finger. Not really wanting to be cuddled, just wanted some attention. Sorry that is the only time I have spent with a Senegal, but I have only ever heard good things about them.
