Thanks guys! He's doing great so far. Hasn't eaten though. He's playing and chattering though. And I've put my hand in multiple times to adjust things in his cage and he's fine as long as I move slowly. And I had my hand resting on his perch earlier and he jumped over it a couple times earlier.
I took one of his toys out that came home with him - the bell is really rusty and the base metal of the toy, that is exposed at the top and bottom, doesn't look safe to me. It's a dull dark metal and where it hangs now he can get to that metal. I found a sort of similar looking toy in my stash and I currently have it hanging on the outside of his cage so he can get used to it.
He can hear Jerry every so often, and vice versa, but I don't think that Jerry has put two and two together and knows that there's an actual budgie in there making those noises
And Winston seems to like my singing (why, I don't know, but he does

). When I start singing to him he stops what he's doing and he looks at me.
I am anxious to wean him off of his mirror though, he's pretty attached to it. But I don't want to do that until he settles in more.
And 2horse, we're hoping that the two budgie monsters might be able to take some pressure off of Lulu - so maybe she will like him lol!
The deciding factor for me to say yes to Winston was Jerry and his happiness - and I cried over this this morning when I pictured Jerry being able to hopefully have a crazy little budgie to fly around with and play together with. He so desperately tries to play with Lulu every single night and she just has no interest in him and does NOT want him next to her. Lulu seems much more independent than Jerry is, she seems so happy playing and climbing and shredding by herself or else perched on one of us.
