Default Candy

I haven't been posting because the mother board on my computer died. Since then, our "Candy" has been showing us how she wants things done around this house. She doesn't "poop" in her cage, all we have to do is bring her to the toilet and she lets does the rest on her own.
I made her a bridge about 5 feet long, with hanging ropes and toys. She loves it, the bridge is near the window so she can look out at the bird feeder. Candy loves to run the length of the sofa so that she can get a pistachio nut. She will rock up and down waiting for the nut. Candy gives kisses one right after another. Then she stares at me. thats my cue to get her some "Birdy Bread" that Elizabeth bakes for the birds.
So you may be wondering if I love "Candy"..... Well, I love her bunches and bunches...she is personality with a giant Plus. Love her love her love her.
Good being able to see the board again.
Peter

Peter - so glad to hear you are loving your little girl, but we have to work on getting her to poop in her cage. That's not a good thing, especially if you are going to be gone for any period of time. That can cause some major problems. Now you have me worried....

BTW - we missed you!

Glad to have you back!

My birds, especially Ollie, prefer to NOT poop in their cages as well. Ollie will hold it for quite awhile, but if she's in her cage for too long of a period of time she will eventually go.

Does Candy not EVER poop in her cage?

Default Candy Does

OK...OK Ater I posted the message. We went to buy a tripple stack cage at Bird Paradise...a really nice one I must admit. Then Kathie sees me and tells me about having Candy holding it in.. Now, my wife tells me...."Peter you don't clean the cages..I do, and Candy does her poop in the cage...just because when you uncover her in the morning and you bring her to the toilet....that's her morning poop...she poops whenever she wants to in the cage also".
OK!! so I don't know everything that goes on in this house. Here I'm thinking, Candy wants to please me so much, she poops outside the cage. I am a sucker, I think everything Candy does, she does for me. What do you expect, this house is over run by females.

It's okay, Peter. We forgive you. I know you can't help it. After all, you are a MALE!! (Peter put it nicely - actually, I pounced on him when I saw him today!!!)
