I found a different photo upload site, had to try it.
The person who owned this keet (Cid), passed away, apparently this bird is 17 years old (albino), this nice little ole lady owned this bird since he was a baby.

Yes, this is Cids forever home, thanks for asking, Very seldom will I part with any of my Keets, I do re-home some birds.
I have a very dear friend "Kate" the owner of Bird Brains Forum, she lives close to me, this is the only person to get any of my Keets.
The Parakeet is my Passion within the exotic world.
The more these birds are abused by Mankind the more I reach out to them, the same with the Pigeon/Dove.
I love the Parakeet so much....IT HURTS.

I feed my Keets Pasta and fresh veggies, they also are provided Kaytee keet mix, another Item that helps keep there digestive system running well and helps with fatty issues is Tomatoes, we offer our keets tomatoes every other day.
Cid is very old, I have read where one persons keet made it to 23 years old.

Talking Bumped

I bumped this up from the back threads not only because it deals with re-homing birds & Show Budgies, it also talks about nutrition.

I love info like this - especially when so many of us have Budgies on an almost all seed diet.

My update is that our young Budgie Rio has successfully introduced pellets to our older Budgie. I've been putting pellets on top of his seed for a year. Now i'm seeing it disappear. So their main diet is seed, fresh greens, some fresh grass & pellets. I have been offering Tomato but so far they haven't tried it. Laker loves pasta as well.

My budgies enjoy the same fresh food as my bigger birds. For them the fruit and veggies just needs to be cut a bit smaller as they don't eat by foot.
