Is there any discharge/mucus that comes out of his nares (nose holes) when he sneezes? Or is there any discharge crusted up on his cere? When there is a discharge, then there might be cause for concern.
Keep an eye on him for sure, and keep him separated from your new tiel until you can be certain that they are both fine (quarantining a new bird is recommended for anywhere from 30-90 days). Make sure that his appetite is normal, as well as his overall appearance. And check his poops as well, abnormal poops can give you an idea if something is not right.
Well bird check-ups are also recommended when you bring a new bird home - this should be with a certified Avian vet. AVs are not cheap, but this is necessary to make sure that your birds are healthy. |
