Default Some "Mommy~birdy huggin time"

is what we call it around here.

Since I have been so nuts lately with the sale of the house and trying to find a new one, My "mommy" duties have slipped a bit.
One thing I enjoy more then anything, like any mom, is spending time with my children and having them in my arms. Today, I took each grey, one by one, and took them into the bedroom and let them play with a ball on the bed.
Each one was happy to be able to run and play and mom be right there talking to them. Its easier for me to have them on the bed with the ball, so mom doesnt have to chase it as far. I swear Emma played Soccer in her past life.
However when Emma was tired of running around, she rolled over on her back to preen. It must be easier that way for her to reach places.
She was snuggled right up to my face, laying on her back, her head rested upside down on the bed, lookin at me. Her eyes started to close and she started to nap. I let her nap a while, and only because I was way too comfortable myself and was afraid I would fall asleep, I slipped my hand under her back, and carried her to her cage. She lets me carry her around cradled in my arms like a human baby, and it is the cutest thing.

She wasnt happy to go back in, and protested a little till she saw the boys were going to get baths. Since she is a dirty girl and hates baths, she quickly went to ignoring me so she too wouldnt have to take one.
IT worked, I ignored her as well, knowing how much she hates water.

Then I had to vaccume the bed off from all the white dander from the dusty children!

So that was my day, and a nice change from the more hectic days that have taken over my life lately.

It never fails to amaze me the amount of love these birds give us.

The picture in my mind of her sleeping like that speaks volumes.

AWWWWWW....Miss Emma is just so lovely. I'm glad they all got special mommy time one on one. With so many siblings, I bet they like to feel special once in a while. I only wish you had pics of these sweet moments for me to see.

How sweet Lisa!! I can't spend any time with any of the other birds without Bud getting very jealous & nipping/biting me when I get back to her!

Tina, Bud is the queen! Ya shoulda seen Emma bite Michele(smallonion) when she visited because she didnt want Michele playing with anyone else.

My guys actually get lots of one on one each night, but it is usually in the livingroom with everyone else around. It was special to just be us, alone. I smiled alot today just thinking of Emma sleeping. I will see if I can can get some pics tonight as Emma is snuggling with George before bed.

There's a bite I'll remember... ;-) I was so excited to meet Lisa's fids - I picked up Emma first but when I gave her brothers attention...CHOMP!

Lisa, please get pics of Em snuggling with George. Sounds cute.
