They are the nuts from eucalyptus trees..( for those like me that have never heard of them until the other day)

Anyone give these to their birds?....

I heard they were wonderful treats... I have heard it a couple of times now... I am very interested but can't seem to find a place in america who sells them...

Does anyone know where I can get some to try?

Also I have heard the eucalyptus leaves are great for the birds.. anyone try this?

Everything from the eucalyptus tree is bird-safe, and pretty much all of it is part of the diet of many Australian parrot species. It's generally considered to be beneficial to non-Australian parrots too.

There's a place in California selling eucalyptus products for birds at http://www.eucproducts.com/index.html I haven't tried any of this - instead I planted my own eucalyptus tree. I can do that because I'm in Arizona, where the climate is fairly similar to the Outback. I see that you're in Michigan, where it would be much harder to grow your own!

This place is in Australia, but I have bought from them many times. They have all sorts of Eucalyptus pruducts. Shipping is included in their price and things arrive really fast.
My birds like the toys with gumnuts on them from this site. I do give leaves to my Cockatiels and Budgies and they really like them.
