I got such a kick out of this letter written by a woman who is apparently frustrated with her amazon.

I thought it was so funny and wanted to share a laugh. Plus, it could be me one day!

I think I have to read the rest of those letters! I might even write one to my neighbor about her spawn of Satan that she calls children!

I love open letters! I have written a few myself! They're so much fun. I'm skimming through that list right now. Some of them are hysterical, but so far the woman and her amazon is my favorite.

Dear owner,
From the parrot of 15 years who still bites,

I see you are finally getting the point (and willing to publicize it to all and sundry):
I am the Boss.

Let's not get that confused any more.

Still, you complain. You grumble about how you spend hours making me fresh, organic breakfast and how much work it is... that I'm not appreciative. Come on! Did it ever occur to you that if you would provide just a small amount of jungle somewhere close by, I would take breakfast for myself and not bother you?

Then, again, you go on about my understanding but not making an effort to learn your language. How much effort have you made to learn my tongue? That blood-curdling scream you so dislike is part of my language.

If you would just do an almighty scream like I do once in a while, I would feel like you are trying to understand me; and I wouldn't have to do it always myself. So there.

If you would go even a bit further into my language you would understand things without my having to bite you. You seem to understand bites and lay-off whatever I was telling you nicely not to do.

And those toys you buy me, just awful! Have you no sense of taste? If you will just let me loose, I will find interesting things for myself to play with.

I am not afraid of your turning me out because I am boss. Don't forget it.

Good one Sarah/Budgielover - I must admit as amusing as her rant was, I kept wondering why she didn't try totally different tactics.

The cringing at the new toys & the demo of the expensive one - I've read enough of Susan's Grey posts to understand the frustration there. Heck Budgies can drive you as nuts as kids can. I'm about to do a Rio rant in the Budgie forum.....
