This is the first of my patio redo gyms. This one is for Benji and Cricket. Hopefully I'll be able to keep Sophie off of it so the little guys can go out side!!
I still have to get toys to put on it but this is the gym.
I used 1/2" PVC ell's with 1" of 1/2" PVC pipe glued into the ends. Basically enough to just stick past the end of the ell. After driving the 5/8" wood dowel into the holes and aligning the gym as I wanted it, I drilled a 7/32" hole threw each joint where the dowel goes in the PVC then drove a 1/4" dowel into the hole. This is to secure all the pieces so it keeps its shape. I wrap the rope around because Benji and Cricket like to play with it.

That's very neat Jim! I had the fabulous idea of screening in the patio off my apartment and creating a play area for Ollie, but the management vetoed it. Apparently they want the complexes to look "pretty" and that would be an eye sore. Grrr! I wish you were my manager!

I get away with my patio as well because I use a bamboo type roll up/down blind that matches the building. lol So I roll it up and down depending on how much sunshine I want to let it.

Looks good Jim & Susan, I need to get making again because all mine have been remodeled.
