Default Stumbled upon a toy

This is great (I think)...You know those vitamin trays? It has 7 little squares with pop tops for everyday of the week. Well, I had Harrison out and this vit tray was on the table next to me. I thought I'd give it a try to see if Harrison could open it. (it was brand new..had not had meds or vitamins in it ever) Well, she opened it no problem. Then I put a treat in it to see if she could get it out and she could relatively easy. So then I closed them all except one and showed her were I was putting the treat then closed it and I said "ok where is it?" and 2 out of 3 times she got it right on the first try. On the third try, she got it on the second try so really she got it 3 out of 3. Ha. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I just wanted to share...

Sounds like a good idea. Are they easy to chew apart?

You are a genius! What a terrific idea! Ruby is going to love this. I bet the Dollar Store will have them. The pharmacy at Kroger gave me 2 for free once too. Thanks for telling us! Ruby says "step-up!"

Wow, she is so smart! I don't think my guys would do that! What a great idea though to use something like that for positive interaction and foraging.

I agree - it sounds like a great interactive activity for you & possibly a good foraging toy if she doesn't eat any part of it.

I remember Bunny waiting patiently [pacing ] while I retied her carrot to the bars with the leather shoelace. She couldn't wait to come over & undo the knots & take the carrot.

Be careful not to allow the bird to play with it unmonitored, these pill boxes are made of soft plastic that can impact their crops if chewed.
