I was away overnight because of work and she was left with my son. When I got back today she climbed up onto my chest and snuggled in and had a full on true cuddle.

That is great. I think it was her way of telling you she missed you. Sometimes we don't think that they miss us when we are gone away and it warms the heart when they do something they have never done before Whoo Hoo for Peggy!!!

She is a beautiful darling. I never pushed her, she always stepped back if I tried too get too close. Last night, I got home, openened her cage to say hello, it was very, very late. Past midnight. Couldn't go to bed without letting her know I was home. She climbed out of her cage and right up into my arms, snuggled into my chest and we kissed and cuddled. I have not had a cuddle like that since Manau died. I have been very patient, waited for her, it took nearly 18 months, it was a gift from Heaven.

Very heartwarming - it makes me tear up - how she must have wondered where you were.

With my new job, my husband says the Budgies are very quiet when I'm gone. When I come home they are very loud. Laker especially gives me those intense stares. But so far no cuddles. I think I'd pass out if that happened.
