Default Ginsu the toucan

Took some new pictures of her tonight. We spend about 20 minutes every night with my hand through the opening of the food or water door petting her all over...she loves to have her ears rubbed and the feathers on her head and under her beak skritched. We've decided to put bi-fold doors on the playroom so 1 - we can take out some of the smaller birds in there and not worry about them getting out and 2 - we can take her out as well.

Enjoy...

This is the inside of her mouth - the piece that looks like a flat piece of paper is her tongue. Also notice the ridges on her beak. If she bites there's no pressure, she shakes her head which is like taking two plastic knives and rubbing them together.

I was just about to say that you would know about it if she bit you til i read the last bit. She could get your head in that mouth, shes really cute though, looks very placid too.

She is simply wonderful! Her mouth looks like an orchid of some sort! What must it be like to have her in your life??? Ruby hollers "STEP-UP!"

Great pictures! Jeanne would you tell us more about her? How did she come to live with you, how and what does she eat, does she play with or chew on toys?

Wow Jeanne! Ginsu is incredible. I don't know much about toucans but I find them very interesting and interesting to look at too! Her beak is the size of my arm!

LOL... you must have small arms, her beak is about 12 inches long.

This weekend is booked for me, got a concert tonight, 2 parties tomorrow and Sunday we're heading to my parents house. But I will post more about her
