Default Our Duck Friends

Our Duck Friends
Each spring they return, A handsome hen and her mate.
Today I was doing some yard work and cleaning this and that
Never do they wonder to far away while I am outside tending to this and that
Today there was something different, I was hosing down the drive way and the male
came a charging, I thought to myself "what have I done".
The male came running and began to fly past me, my eyes followed him
then I saw why he was so upset, another male was at the end of the driveway.
They both flew and diapered behind some trees.
There she sat next to the tub of water I provide for them, this has happened before.
No need to be excited.
I finished my work and came into the house, later on I noticed her mate had returned.
Now he limps a little, there must have been a battle.
This is the second male he has chased away this year, you can see the battle scars on his chest
He follows her where ever she goes, never does he leave her for very long.
For 4 years now.....they return each spring....this is there home.

Oh they are so beautiful! No wonder they show up at your house! ha! I have several ducks that live on the pond by me. They come twice a day to get fed.
