Sunshine and Bowie just seem to go together. He's learning to fly, as his flights are grown in, so I had Z hold him while I took a few photos of my beautiful gentlemen :-):









And this is the look Z gets on his face when VERY sharp talons dig into his hand....



Bowie got tired of being held, so it was time to go inside before poor Z got more than toenail punctures! Still, impatient or not, Bowie sure does look good in the sunshine, doesn't he?

I know a bit about the nail pain - when I had our Crow - he never would land on the stick I held out for him - always onto my arm! Ouch! Maybe you need some kind of arm guard - do they have them for falconers?

The reason he has talons is that his nails are too long. Time for all of them to have them trimmed again. Falconer's gloves would undoubtedly scare the crapola out of any of our birds if we tried using them! LOL!
