The theme of this month's contest is; Summertime! Share a photo of your bird enjoying those glorious summer days. *Make sure birds are properly restrained if outside!*

Please remember: You may submit only 1 photo per bird. You may enter multiple birds.

Another reminder from the rules: Your submission picture must be accompanied with a short story about the bird or birds pictured, their name(s), and species.

The winner will have their photo featured on the June page of the 2009 ParrotChatter calendar. You will also receive a 2009 calendar as a prize. Also, your winning photo will be displayed on the Parrot Chatter main entry page for an entire month.

All submitted photos must be of high resolution and with a pixel size of at least 1600 x 1200.

The contest will remain open until this time next Wednesday - one full week. At that time a poll will be set up for voting!

I guess even as ragged as mine are looking I gotta get them out for some pictures!!

Boca loves playing in the Aloe garden.
He also likes to take a little nibble now and then.

I just love those photos! Ruby isn't exactly properly restrained in her tree though. Would it count anyway?

That would be fine Jessalyn. My caution is just a reminder for owners to be careful when taking birds outside. To err on the side of caution I like to advise that they be harnessed or in an aviary or cage when outside.

Here is my lineolated parakeet Parsley. She is sitting in my herb pot that I grow on my porch.

Zoey is my 3 and a half year old yellow belly Senegal. She always gets so down when she molts, its so good to see her perking up again!!
