We just got back from a walk to get Budgie grasses.
The 2 lads are in Laker's cage & Laker is patiently sitting wiht his head forward, while Rio works on his head!

This is a major breakthrough for him. Now I hope he returns the favour.

I didn't want to disturb them so there is no photo - yet.

Both my 2 Budgie lads & my own family are all calling out - "We're hungry! - Feed us!"
While I could send my husband off to start up some reheats [don't you just love reheats?!] - the 2 B lads came & sat on me & Rio yelled in my ear until I got up & took them to their to be filled bowls....

So now everyone is happy... or almost - our dinner is still in the works.

Yes - I do believe the Budgies are getting to be really close. Laker is much more accepting of Rio & Rio is a lot less hyper. It still kills us that Rio will not step-up unless afraid or wants to go to bed - but sees nothing wrong with climbing all over us.

I like the way you call them "lads"! They are just such good birds! Glad to hear they are getting along so well!

Nothing like budgie shouting, they certainly manage to get the point across. Budgies seem to have reason to raise the voice not like bigger birds that just like the sound of a big voice.

Spice used to preen Sugar all the time and on occasion Sugar would return the favor. However with this molt they are not helping each other out at all. Go figure.

I'm jealous! There's never any preening allowed here!

Mine preen, feed and yell at each other all at the same time.
