Here are the pictures I took of Raw this morning. I'm waiting for my friend who's a vet tech to come over and hold him so we can do his beak.

Out on the parrot farm where I work we have one that is 70 plus years old. And it shows too. Your baby still looks very young.

Yup, he's the one we got last night. We were told he's 45. His colors are very dull almost pastel color. I'm hoping with the right food his colors will turn more vibrant.

I think the colors have to do with age. This is Mama T and she is on a good diet of veggies, frozen and fresh, fresh fruit, pellets, and nuts.

The blue on her is turning very green but I believe that is old age not diet.
She has arthritis in her beak and talons and is not tame. We hate to move her to much afraid of what the stress will do to her. She is wild caught.
How lucky are you to be able to care for your new aging friend.
I really think for his age Raw looks really good and a good diet well help him to live to be 70 plus years too like Mama T.

Jeanne, he looks pretty good considering his age and what he's been through. A good beak trim will help him eat better. I took care of a GreenWinged at one time that had a beak similar, but the upper mandible was longer and the poor thing couldn't even fit his beak into a dish to eat or put his head down without it digging into his chest.

I look forward to seeing new pictures of him all spruced up and eating a good diet. Thank you so very much for helping this guy out.

I don't think he's going to be adopted out. We'll let him live here with the rest of the flock. He's a scared little boy right now and a big mush after getting his beak trimmed.

We got him a new(used) cage off CL today, a large Kings Cage for $50! It's got a playpen top for him to hang out on and so much room for him. I'll take some more pictures of him tomorrow.

Sounds like a nice cage. Glad you were able to get a great deal.
