Default Poi or Pio????

We are considering adding to our flock because our cockatiel Tinkerbell escaped and my daughter is devastated. Tinkerbell was "her" bird. She doesn't want a big bird and I don't want another dusty bird. From what I have read it sounds like a Meyers would be a better choice for her. She is almost 10. Does anyone have info. they can share on Poi vs. Pio? Anyone have any good research websites for me? Any help would be appreciated. We are going to a bird mart towards the end of June, so I am hoping to find a great match for her there.

I am owned by a meyers. They are an awesome bird. Laid back like the cocktiel but personality plus. Cuddles is 3 yrs old. She is a "cuddler". she has only said couple words but makes up for in the noises she mimics; like the mirco,washer/dryer beeps, mirco beeps, cell phone rings(6) and all sort of wild bird chatter. They love the water, too. They can have their moments just like other parrots. here is a pic of Cuddles.

I own a Jardine! Awesome bird, let anyone pick him up even my niece who's 3. He like to follow people around the house, he isn't much of a talk but he does say a few words like hi, hello, what up, kisses ect, but he can make a hole alot of sound!

I think any poi would be good:
Jardines, Meyers or a Senegal... there are a few other pois, but those are the most common.
Senegals are very playful yet sweet and cuddly. They love their human companions and are very sweet-natured.

Good luck
