The last time Randy Cohn was hospitalized for weeks of chemotherapy, his pet bird, Radar, plucked himself nearly bare.

"He looked just like a fryer you'd see in a package at the grocery," Cohn said. "He was so stressed out because I wasn't there. Can you imagine loving something and seeing him self-destruct?"

So when Cohn knew in April that he would be hospitalized again for nearly a month at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, he was worried. How could he keep Radar intact?

"I came up with this idea: Maybe if he could hear my voice, that would help." [LINK: Read on...]

Bless their hearts! I wish he could just stay in the hospital room with him. They both would be better off. I know I would. I will says prayers from him. Glad you told us, Karen.
