I'm trying to find others as well who have an odd couple like this. I was in a local bird store today, little ma n pa place, and got to talking about Sophie and Benji. The proprietor kind of laughed and pointed at a picture painted on the wall of an Ekkie hen they had once had with a Conure buddied up to her. As he told me that it is pretty normal he said "ask them". Two ladies were in there and both have several Eclectus pairs as well as singles. Both said that it is pretty normal for Ekkie hens to find a smaller bird and "mother" it. Watching the two together it makes perfect sense that that is what is going on. Any ideas about this?
well, its not an ekkie, but youve seen my Jewel and Jackie.... Its a huge size difference, but they are definitley an odd couple... you thihnk it could be the same thing?
