Question back pack carriers

Does anyone have any experience with back pack style bird carriers. I've been toying with the idea of getting one for my little Timneh, Ernie. I would love to be able to take her for walks with me around the neighborhood where she could see what was going on. Ernie is very small. On a good day she may tip the scales at 220 grams. I was looking at the Bird o Pak small. Any of your experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you mean the Pak-o-bird? Pak-O-Bird Backpack Style Bird Carriers. I don't have any experience with it, but I think it looks very nice. I can't get Ollie into a harness so I'm considering something like this too. If Ernie is a chewer I may consider going with the stainless version. I'm not sure about size though...I would probably still go with the medium- he'd be more comfortable- and the price really doesn't jump up too much.

Hmmm...not sure how that would hold up to some of the beaks in my house! LOL

I have ben considering the Adventure pack...seems more durable, but they are out of stock every where!

I am also trying to get my M2 into a harness this year....wish me luck! She just wants to chew it up!

Hi there! I had one for my timnah, Gipper. He is no longer with me, but he just loved it. At first he wasn't so sure, but then he decided he would give it a try. I will add that he was quite the fraidy cat. Good luck!

I use the Adventure Pack for my amazons and I looooove it!!! Its sturdy, looks good, and my fids love going on hikes and campouts in it. They do seem to be sold out most places, but I see some site saying they will be out again in the summer with pre-sales starting. Maybe they are coming out with a new model. I personally think it is totally worth every penny!!

Thanks for the feedback. Ernie is not much of a chewer. She's actually pretty lazy with her beak. Wont even crack open an almond. I have been using a "Hobo" bird carrier for 7 yrs now. It has nylon mesh and is in perfect condition. It's just so big and doesn't do well as a back pack carrier. I don't think "Hobo" is still around. What size did you get for Gipper?
